BreAnna Whitaker | Hayden’s Mom | President & CEO
BreAnna Whitaker is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) from Phenix City, AL. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tuskegee University and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama. BreAnna has 6+ years of clinical experience, and is currently employed by the Department of Veteran Affairs where she specializes in caregiver support, patient-aligned care, and advanced care planning.
BreAnna founded Hearts for Hayden in an effort to provide resources and supportive services to families affected by congenital heart defects in her hometown and the surrounding areas.

Arcacia Butler | Board Secretary and Hayden’s “Aunt Squad”
Arcacia Butler is the founder of Uplift Mentoring, a mentoring program in Phenix City, AL whose mission is to make a difference in the lives of others, more specifically, the lives of high school girls, through counseling, tutoring, and leading by example. She is a 2013 and 2016 graduate of Alabama State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, respectively. At present, Arcacia is employed by the Muscogee County school system as an educator.

Kalandria Smith | Board Treasurer and Hayden’s “Aunt Squad”
Kalandria Smith is a Union Springs, AL native. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Alabama State University. Kalandria’s work history includes a combined 5 years of employment with the Alabama Department of Commerce and the Alabama Department of Revenue. She currently works as an Air Force IT Acquisition Program Manager.
"When given the opportunity to be a part of HFH, I gladly accepted. As the mother of two children diagnosed with Atrial Septal Defects at birth, I know the importance of being informed on various heart conditions and the level of emotional and physical stress this can cause all involved. This cause is greater than me, and I am more than willing to commit to the spreading of heart health awareness."
Courtney Sharpe | Board Member and Hayden’s Godmother
Courtney Sharpe is a native of Phenix City, AL and a graduate of Central High School. In 2013, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the prestigious Tuskegee University. After 6+ years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, with many specialties, Courtney pursued and earned a Master’s degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University.

Freddie Jenkins | Board Member and Hayden’s Godfather
Freddie Jenkins is a Phenix City, AL native. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems from Auburn University Montgomery. Freddie’s work history includes a combined 6+ years of employment with Sykes Enterprises and Auburn University Montgomery as an Information Technology Specialist. He currently owns and operates Flash Technology, an independent IT firm.
